Audiences
The Audiences feature empowers organizations to build, manage, and message groups of contacts over time.
Once you create an Audience, you can manage the settings of that group of contacts (including specific data about them), and build Saved Searches that segment them. You can then upload the entire audience or specific saved searches in messaging campaigns.
Audiences enables organizations to manage an opted-in program using a 10DLC or Toll-Free number. This includes opt-in keywords and advanced targeting. Previously, some of these features were only available to organizations with a short code number.
Create an Audience:
Click on the Audiences page on the left side of the Scale to Win sidebar and follow these steps (we have a longer article on Creating Audiences here):
- Click on the + New Audience button on the top right of the page.
- Give your new audience a name and click on the Create Audience button.

- Once you’ve created an audience, click on the Add Contacts button at the top right of the page to add phone numbers that you want to include in future campaigns.
- Note: Your contact imports can include fields like First/Last name, State, Address, etc that you can use to segment your audience and create Saved Searches.
Use Saved Searches to Load Contacts in a Campaign
When building a campaign, you can use a Saved Search to load a segment of your Audience as contacts into the campaign.
- On the Load Contacts step, choose the Contact Load Method: My Audiences and select the Audience you want to target form the drop down menu.
- Click Filter Contacts.

- Select Saved Search from the filter type menu.

- Select the name of your Saved Search, then click Import Filtered Contacts.

Note: If you want to message your Subscribers (opt-in Audience) you must choose an opt-in number in the previous Sending Numbers step.
Messaging Opt-In Audiences on 10DLC or Toll-Free:
Scale to Win Text empowers you to build an Opt-in Audience you can text using a 10DLC, Toll-Free, and/or short code number. More information can be found on this feature here.
An Opt-In Audience is unique because you’ll be able to include keywords that allow contacts to subscribe to messages from a unique opt-in phone number.
By separating opted-in contacts into dedicated Audiences, you’re making sure that campaigns go to a warm list, leading to better reply rates, click-throughs, and donations.
